Peru is one of the best tourist destinations in South

Huayna Picchu mountains are also located. Also, the Inca Trail, considered the
best trek in South America, reaches this place. A 43-kilometer route through
ancient Inca trails to Machu Picchu. The duration of the tour is 4 days and 3
nights.
In 2007, Machu Picchu was declared one of the 7 wonders of
the modern world.
To get to the majestic Machu Picchu, you first have to
travel to the city of Cuzco (Ollantaytambo train station) and then by train to
Machu Picchu. Another option is to walk along the "Inca Trail" to
"Machu Picchu". A third option is public transport with the route
from: Cusco - Santa María - Santa Teresa - Hydroelectric - Aguas Calientes -
Machu Picchu.
Machupicchu
is located in southern Peru, belongs to the department of Cusco, with a height
of 2350 meters above sea level.
TITICACA LAKE - PUNO
Lake Titicaca is the highest navigable lake in the world. It is one of the largest reserves of fresh water in South America. It is located on the Collao plateau, at an average altitude of 3,812 meters above sea level, between Peru and Bolivia. It has an extension of 8562 km² and a depth of 281 meters. And according to Andean mythology, the founders of the great Inca empire emerged from the cold and clear waters of this lake.
In the surroundings of this beautiful lake the pre-Inca cultures developed: Tiahuanaco and Pucará. And today, many customs and traditions of these aboriginal peoples still survive in the local population that inhabits the numerous islands that are found inside Lake Titicaca.
The most beautiful tourist centers that you can visit inside and around Lake Titicaca are: the Uros floating islands (made from cattails), Amantaní Island, Taquile Island and the Chullpas of Sillustani.
Its location is in the Puno region.
NAZCA LINES - ICA
Located 80 kilometers from the cities of Nazca and Palpa, 400 kilometers from the South of Lima. The lines are a series of geoglyphs in the desert. The largest figures are 370 meters.
The Nazca Lines are a group of ancient geoglyphs engraved in the desert sand. They are located in the Nazca Valley, the Palpa Valley and in the Jumana desert. These enigmatic geoglyphs were created by the men of the Nazca Culture (200 BC - 700 AD) and extend over an area of 450 km².
The size of the geoglyphs ranges from 50 to 300 meters and they have various shapes: geometric, zoomorphic, phytomorphic and anthropomorphic figures. Among the most famous lines and geoglyphs we can mention: hummingbird, monkey, frigate bird, giant bird, spider.
For most scholars, the Nazca Lines were a huge astronomical calendar or a place of worship for water.
The best way to visit the Nazca Lines is by doing a flyby. For this, the ideal is to take a plane flight, from Pisco or Paracas.
It is located in the province of Nazca, Ica region. 450 kilometers south of Lima.
RIO AMAZONAS - IQUITOS
One of the largest rivers in the world has a width of 4 kilometers between its banks. More than 1,100 rivers flow into it. It is one of the most beautiful tourist places in the Peruvian jungle.
The Amazon River is the longest and largest river on earth and one of the largest freshwater reserves on the planet. It is born on the snowy peaks of the Andes mountain range and covers more than 7200 kilometers, crossing the territories of Peru, Colombia and Brazil.
Impressive natural ecosystems and numerous native communities develop in the Amazon river basin: boras, yahuas, witotos and many others.
The city of Iquitos is the most privileged place to appreciate the beauty of the Amazon River. Well, here are located most of the tourist viewpoints, lodges, floating platforms, suspension bridges and pluvial bridges to navigate the Amazon River.
The traditional way to get to Iquitos is by air. Alternatively sailing on the Amazon river and its main tributaries such as the Ucayali river and the Marañón river. The city of Iquitos does not have highways linking it to other large cities in Peru; there is only one 115 km highway from Iquitos to Nauta. Cars only circulate in the urban area and surroundings of Iquitos, the river environment predominates.
TAMBOPATA –MADRE DE DIOS NATIONAL RESERVE
The Tambopata National Reserve is a protected natural area where the flora, fauna and ecological processes of the tropical rain forest are preserved. It is an ideal tourist site to visit with the family; because here you can connect with nature and observe the flora, fauna and natural landscapes.
In the innumerable aguajales, swamps, pacales, riparian forests of the Tambopata basin, the highest rates of biological diversity in the world can be observed: 632 species of birds, 1,200 species of butterflies, 103 species of amphibians, 180 species of fish, 169 mammal species and 103 reptile species. Also, the reserve serves as the whereabouts of more than 40 species of transcontinental migratory birds.
The province of Tambopata is one of the three that make up the department of Madre de Dios in southern Peru. It limits the North with the province of Tahuamanu, the East with Bolivia, the South with the department of Puno and the province of Manu, and the West with the department of Ucayali.
COLCA-AREQUIPA VALLEY
The Colca Valley is an extensive valley of fertile land that borders the Colca River. It is also known as the Valley of Fire. And it is another of the most important tourist places in Peru; Well here are located the Colca Canyon (one of the deepest canyons in the world), the Thermal Baths of La Calera and the famous viewpoint La Cruz del Cóndor, where you can appreciate the flight of the condors.
